PRAYAGRAJ, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA
FEBRUARY 20 - 22, 2025
2 NIGHTS/3 DAYS
Overview
Kumbh Mela the Largest Religious Gathering in the World (inscribed on the UNESCO’S Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) commences in Prayagraj from 10th January – 26 February,2025.
Prayagraj Kumbh is the most significant of all Kumbh Mela sites due to the convergence of three sacred rivers at the Triveni Sangam, also known as Tirtharaj, the “King of Tirthas”.
The Sangam is not only a physical meeting of rivers but also a symbol of the merging ofbody, mind and spirit. This event marks the coming together of millions of devotees for the ritualistic bath, which is believed to wash away sins and bring Spiritual Liberation or Moksha.
Experience the grandeur of the Maha Kumbh enveloped in an environ that is cosseted with chiming bells, incense and flower fragrance interspersing flawlessly with the smoke from the havan kunds, vedic hymns, mantras, drumbeats, the blare of conchs and the ring of holy bells. Witness the Naga Sadhus and throngs of devotees display their paramount vigour as they take a holy dip in the freezing waters with the sole purpose of surrendering to the Almighty and seeking Nirvana!
On popular demand Women Traveller has specially curated this trip to the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj, a 2 nights & 3 days trip from 20 – 22 February 2025 for travellers to get a feel of this extraordinary Spiritual Experience.
