The Plan

  • Arrival at Ljubljana airport. Private transfer from airport to the hotel. Walkthrough the old town. Overnight at the hotel in Ljubljana.
  • How the hell do you pronounce Ljubljana?” The most common response by locals is “lyoo-BLYAH-nah” but also simply “lublana” without the J’s will work. Ljubljana means “of lovely appearance,” and with a winding river, medieval castle and plenty of historic charm, the tiny Slovenian capital delivers on its name. Ljubljana is a fantastic entre into what Slovenia has to offer - incredible food, architecture, history and a reputation for repurposing and reinvention. The city is extremely pedestrian-friendly, and that’s by design: a decade ago, the capital closed off its historic Old Town to cars and motorized vehicles and that is the reason Ljubljana continues to win awards for its commitment to being a green city.
  • Overnight in Ljubljana.
 
  • Breakfast at the hotel. A private vehicle will pick you up in Ljubljana to drive to the town of Bled. Bled sightseeing tour with a local guide (duration approx. 2 hrs.)
  • Bled is famous for Lake Bled and Castle, which makes it a major tourist attraction. The lake surrounds Bled Island, the only natural island in Slovenia. The island has several buildings, the main one being the Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary. Be sure to seek out the famous Bled cream cake, which isn’t hard; nearly every cafe and cake shop in town claims that theirs is the best.   • Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and drive to Postojna Cave Park in a private vehicle. Slovenia is The main attraction and a must-see Cave.   • Afternoon continues to Plitvice Lakes.

  • After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the Plitvice Lakes National Park tour with your professional guide. The Plitvice Lakes National Park is certainly the most beautiful park in Croatia and one of the obligatory points for those who visit this country. The park is on UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE list since 1979. Natural formation of waterfalls is the main attraction. There are 16 lakes; 12 upper and 4 lower. They all interconnect in the flow of water – blue, green, turquoise or grey. The lakes connect in a ladder like manner, giving the impression of a magical land, surrounded by lots of water and green.   • After breakfast, check out and drive to Mostar. Guided tour through the city of Mostar.
  • Besides being the capital, Mostar is one of the most visited cities in the country and became world-famous during the Bosnian war (1992-1995). Mostar is the cultural capital and center of the Herzegovina region. The main attraction is the famous bridge, Stari Most (Old Bridge). The bridge is 21 meters high and during summer, it is possible to watch a select group of divers who risk jumping from the top of the old bridge.
  • The whole old center of Mostar is a treat for lovers of history and different cultures. It is a mixture of Turkey, Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia. Muslim and Catholic religions are also present. From architecture to souvenirs and handicrafts the mix is everywhere. Local restaurants are also a great choice to appreciate local cuisine and new flavors.
  • Later proceed to Dubrovnik.
  • Overnight in Dubrovnik.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Dubrovnik sightseeing with your English speaking guide. This tour will reveal the finest sites of the Old Walled City. The walking portion includes visits to the Dominican Monastery with its a fine collection of medieval paintings and the Cathedral with its famous Treasury. Our guide will lead you through the narrow streets of the Old Town introducing you to the history and culture of this magnificent city. Other buildings will be viewed along the way.
  • Cable Car Ride to view Dubrovnik from above in the evening.
  • Overnight at the hotel in Dubrovnik.
  • Taste the Oysters at the Oyster Farm in Mali Ston The bay of Mali Ston has been famous for seashell cultivation since the days of the Roman Empire and today still provides the largest oyster cultivation facilities in the Adriatic. This experience is listed on the 7th place in Condé Nast Traveller in’50 Things to do in Europe before you die’ list. We will go to the farm on a traditional and beautiful wooden boat to sample the oysters along with a glass of local white wine in incredible surroundings.
  • Walk the Old City Walls and Old Town of Ston These historic walls run from Mali Ston to the small harbor over the hill and are the longest fortified walls in Europe at 3 miles in length. The dramatic views of the beautiful Croatian countryside, the ancient salt beds and the glistening Adriatic from the top, is definitely worth the climb.
  • Drive back to Dubrovnik.
  • Overnight in Dubrovnik.
  • Private transfer to the Dubrovnik airport for flight back home. Au Revoir.
